RyanVincent Alvarez has held a strong passion for the creative arts since his youth. Motion graphics have always interested him through their naturally immersive nature and as a form of visual entertainment in the forms of movies, television shows, music videos, and video games. It wasn’t until the release of Pixar’s Toy Story in 1995 that his passion for visual storytelling really came to life and a desire for a career in design came to fruition.

After a short stint at the Art Institute of Sunnyvale studying Graphic Design, he was presented the opportunity to dive right into the heart of the creative industry at the corporate marketing level for The Bay Club Company, formerly known as Western Athletic Clubs. During this time, he had the opportunity to collaborate closely with several design houses including Buchanan Design, Headset Group, and SWIRL Integrated Marketing. He has aided in high-profile projects including restructuring digital communication (email campaigns, internalizing web design, and digital signage), developing the brand identity for Seventy•Seven Restaurant Lounge and Connect Workplace Suites, rebranding Bay Club Kids Camp and introducing an e-commerce platform to aid in the $1.5M+ revenue transactions, and more. His infusion of operations knowledge and business strategy has allowed him to design with finesse and to scale. This has allowed him to design and manage all corporate keynotes and presentations aimed directly at the biggest names in private Equity on Wall Street, lead communications on any corporate construction and development initiatives, and play a key role during the company’s 3 corporate re-brandings.

In 2015 after working at various tech startups including InfoStretch, DISCERN, and GuideSpark where he led design for key Ultra-Premium Accounts — including Kaiser Permanente, PwC, and ExxonMobil —Ryan-Vincent began privately design consulting. Bay Club returned to him as a client in which he began leading design for the corporate marketing department. He aided in doubling the size of the company from 13 to 26 properties by overseeing and art directing design for the Ownership Retreat which was integral for onboarding the newly acquired Spectrum Athletic Clubs team members. Soon after the retreat, he led a small agile team in rebranding the entire Southern California region comprising of 13 properties across West LA and Santa Barbara. Soon after, he returned to the Bay Area to oversee design strategy and execution for the 2016 Membership Communication package to streamline all membership options and operation information across the company portfolio.

In Fall of 2016, transitioned from the hospitality industry to financial technology by joining Wells Fargo’s internal design agency, Digital Experience Design (DXD), as a Visual Designer. Starting off with leading design for Security, he soon transitioned over to the Baseline and Intersection Management/Creative Management division of DXD working with a team of top Visual Designers to streamline all design assets across all of Wells Fargo’s digital platforms. He later transitioned companies over to Intuit located in Mountain View, where he continues to apply his systematic design thinking to the QuickBooks product family on the Marketing XD team. Before his departure in 2019, he was Senior Product Designer for QuickBooks Payments & Capital and worked to recently launch the all-new QuickBooks Cash Flow product.

Most recently, he has lead design for Confluence’s Better Together team focusing on embedded experiences across Atlassian’s ecosystem of products and currently leads design for Confluence Notifications. Outside of Atlassian, he operates as the Brand Director for small business Le Gaol.
